  • We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. This is Cuba. We’ve had good results with You will have to contact them and request a hardcopy form for Cuba unless they’ve recently changed this policy. But don’t wait! You need to book your coverage within two weeks after you book your trip (ie, send your deposit) if you want to be covered for pre-existing medical conditions.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Compliance with U.S. Regulations: Contrary to what many people expect, most restrictions on where we can go and what we can do in Cuba aren’t imposed by the Cuban government but rather by the U.S. government. Although the Obama administration has made it simpler to get permission (a license) to travel to Cuba, we’re still traveling under a U.S. Treasury Department license for “people-to-people travel”. Under the terms of that license the entire group must participate in the scheduled activities. You’ll have free time before breakfast and in the evenings, but during most of the day it’s important that we stick together. This doesn’t mean shoulder-to-shoulder. We’ll certainly spread out to shoot as we walk the streets of Habana Vieja (Old Havana) and elsewhere. Here’s the Treasury Department’s helpful Cuba Sanctions Resource Center and their Frequently Asked Questions. A Letter of Authorization and a copy of the OFAC ́s Department of the Treasury License will be provided to each traveler along with the itinerary for recordkeeping purposes and the traveler should keep it for 5 years after the trip is completed.

  • Payment Policy.
    • Deposits: A deposit of $700 per person is required to guarantee your reservation, which will be applied towards the cost of your tour. Deposits are generally non-refundable, except in rare cases when we cannot confirm all components of a booking at the purchase price.
    • Confirmation: Once we receive your booking and deposit, we will confirm all prices and availability within 1-2 business days and send you a confirmation email. If upon confirmation, any option or component you selected is no longer available or any price has increased, you may cancel your booking and receive a refund on your deposit, which is otherwise non-refundable.

If sending payment by mail please make sure it reaches us by the due date. Late payments are subject to a $50 late payment fee. If your final payment is more than 15 days late, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited.
    • Changes. After we receive your booking fee and before you make the final payment, we can generally make changes to your booking for a $100 per-person change fee. Travelers may request to cancel the booking within 48 hours without penalty. After we receive the final payment, changes to the booking are not permitted except for cancellation.

  • Cancellation and Refund. If a traveler cancels for any reason after the final payment is received, the traveler must notify In Touch Travel Services in writing. The cancellation will be effective upon In Touch Travel Service ’s receipt of the written notification at its office in 558 Howe Ave. Shelton. 06484. Connecticut. In the unlikely event In Touch Travel Services needs to cancel a trip, the full amount paid by the traveler will be refunded. The traveler agrees to work with In Touch Travel Services in finding alternative options to avoid any trip cancellation including, but not limited to, traveling from another point of departure or changing dates 1 day before or after the schedule. In Touch Travel Services incurs substantial administrative and planning costs prior to the departure of a traveler. Therefore, all cancellations incur a per-person cancellation fee, listed as follow:
    • 60 days prior to departure: $700
    • 59-30 days prior departure: $1200
    • 0-29 days of departure: No Refund

The cancellation fee is based on the full package price. If cancellation is required traveler will receive the full package price less the cancellation fee, according to the date of cancellation is received. Although the $700 booking fee is non-refundable, traveler may apply the $700 deposit to another program to be scheduled within 6-months of the scheduled start date, subject to space availability and In Touch Travel Service ́s discretion .Unused services cannot be refunded once the trip has begun. No refund can be made for absence by travelers from any part of the itinerary. It is very important that all travelers understand the cancellation policy. If it is not clear, please contact us for clarification. In Touch Travel Services cannot make exceptions to this cancellation policy for any reason, including medical emergencies or any reason beyond its control. In Touch Travel Services strongly recommends to travelers to purchase trip cancellation insurance.
